No more exports: see the KPIs of multiple areas in one place

Multi-area select in Insights allows you to view key performance metrics for multiple areas in one combined dataset. Routes existing in multiple areas are automatically detected and deduplicated, so you can make confident network decisions based on reliable transit data. No exports or spreadsheets required.

This is particularly useful for leadership in roles like Director of Operations; strategy or policy roles; and contract managers and planners. You might want to assess the cumulative KPIs for multiple areas when you:

• Need to view the aggregated punctuality or reliability KPIS for multiple franchised contract areas
• Want to roll up performance for priority growth zones
• Are reporting to elected members on specific political geographies
• Are completing BSIP reporting

Extend your analysis across broader time frames

Insights allows you to drill down on the individual journeys in your network to pinpoint bottlenecks by time of day, route or service.

With our recent update, the ‘Journeys' page is no longer restricted to showing only the last 30 days, and when exporting data directly, you can export more than the last 30 days for long-range analysis.

This means you can easily identify on-time performance (OTP) patterns at any stop over your chosen date range.

Standardize your week-over-week comparisons

We know how important it is to be able to make consistent comparisons over time, especially when it comes to repeat services. Accurate week-over-week comparisons allow you to make informed, targeted interventions.

To support you in doing this, the default date range in Insights has been updated from “Last 30 days” to “Last 28 days” so that results align to a consistent 4-week period, enabling more accurate week-over-week comparisons.

Make sure your bookmarks are up-to-date

Insights page paths (URLs) have been updated for greater consistency. You can also now open any link in Insights in a new tab – for easier side-by-side comparisons.

If you have any bookmarks saved for Insights pages, then they’ll be currently using the old URLs. Take a moment to update them! That way, you can keep visiting your favourite pages in one click.

Too busy managing your network to keep track of what we were up to last year? Here’s a quick summary of our most popular updates, so you can keep getting the most out of Insights.

• Key enhancements like stop detection and Running Times gave authorities and operators clearer visibility into their networks, helping them monitor journeys more accurately and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Exclusions launched in November, meaning you can exclude certain dates from your analysis in Mosaiq. You might want to exclude days that could skew your analysis, like those with unusual weather conditions, major events, or school holidays, from your Insights reports. Learn how to add exclusions.
• We rolled out multilingual functionality, meaning Mosaiq is now available in multiple languages, including Italian, Spanish and Portuguese – with more languages coming soon.

We increased our data processing from 5.2 to 8.7 billion heartbeats per month across 2025 - an increase of 67%. We’re looking forward to continuing this growth to enable you to deliver more cost-effective, efficient, and enjoyable public transit experiences across the globe.
