Public transport authorities and operators generate enormous volumes of data. The challenge has never been collecting it. It has been making sense of it, quickly enough to act.
That's the problem we set out to solve, in service of a bigger goal: decongesting and decarbonising the world's cities by optimising every bus in the world. This recognition reflects the progress we're making.
The problem we're solving
Before Mosaiq, transport professionals typically worked across several disconnected systems: vehicle tracking in one tool, scheduling data in another, Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reports built manually in spreadsheets. The information existed, but it lived in silos.
That made it hard for authorities and operators to trust their data, or use it to make network decisions with confidence.
All the data you need in one platform
The Mosaiq Transit Intelligence Suite brings that data together in one place. Mosaiq Insights lets authorities and operators monitor on-time performance (OTP) from network level down to individual stops and trips. Users can analyse running times between any two points, and identify scheduling issues and early or late running as they happen.
The platform supports evidence-based conversations internally, and informs KPI reporting for funding bodies and authorities, all from one interface, updated constantly.
Mosaiq Go, our driver-facing mobile app, delivers real-time trip and fleet data without onboard hardware. Mosaiq Live enables real-time journey validation. Together, they form a complete operational intelligence platform.
We've also extended this thinking beyond individual networks. Our Global Public Transit Index (GPTI) gives transport networks in more than 1,000 locations worldwide a free, live view of how they perform against global peers, encouraging open collaboration between authorities as we work towards decongested, decarbonised cities together.
The results speak for themselves
Today, 39 authorities and operators worldwide rely on Mosaiq to run better networks. We process more than 12 billion vehicle location signals, or "heartbeats,” every month, across 38 million trips and 31 countries: roughly 15 times more data than our nearest competitor.
In the United Kingdom, we’ve supported Hull with Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP) reporting and helped Kent Fastrack achieve 91% OTP for three consecutive months, a significant milestone for any UK bus operator.
“When I first joined, my time was split across two or three websites, just to verify cancellations, and even then, it wasn’t always right," said Steve Lines, Senior Interchange Officer at Hull City Council. “Now I just use Mosaiq. It gives us the data we need in one place. We use it every day."
Closer to home in Australasia, a recent win stands out. When Kinetic prepared its successful bid for Auckland Transport's Tranche 3 contract – awarded in March 2026 and worth NZD 755 million – Auckland Transport expected operators to demonstrate genuine technology capability.
Kinetic named Mosaiq Insights as the solution it was committing to, and built its technology case around it. In post-award feedback, Auckland Transport specifically highlighted Kinetic's technology approach as a standout element of the submission.
What this means for us
We've sustained around 100% year-on-year growth since 2023, and this year we rolled out multilingual functionality to open the platform to non-English-speaking markets. This shortlisting recognises the work our whole team has put into building a platform that gives transport professionals the confidence to act on their data, not just collect it.
We'll find out how we've done alongside the other finalists at the awards ceremony on 1st October, 2026 in London. Whatever happens on the night, we're proud to be recognised among the best in transport technology.
