Consistent filtering on every page
We’ve pulled together all the filters you need into one hub. This new global filter hub can be found in the same place on every page in Mosaiq, and can be used in a consistent way to apply filters. You’ll spend more time on impactful interventions, and less on preparing data.
If you’re an existing Mosaiq user, you might notice that some filters have moved to a new location, or are now available on pages they weren’t before. Don’t worry - you haven’t lost any functionality! We’ve just moved the filters into one place to save you time.
You’ll also have increased confidence in your filtering: knowing that you’re applying the same parameters each time, no matter where you are in the platform.
How the new filtering can improve how you manage your network
Filtering is key to finding the data that matters to your operations. With our latest update, you’ll have more time to focus on what that data means, rather than wasting minutes navigating between filters.
Example: An analyst wants to see network performance excluding school routes
Sometimes, you might want to exclude school routes from your analysis to understand whether school routes are masking issues in your core commuter network.
Previously, it was time-consuming to remove these routes from your analysis in Mosaiq. In addition, you couldn’t see the aggregated results of the non-school routes.
The new filtering system makes this process more user-friendly. For example, you can select a specific operator within the filter hub’s “Operators/Services” tab, and run a search for terms like “school” only within this operator’s routes.
Instantly, you’ll be able to understand how the rest of your network is performing, without the influence of your school routes, which may behave totally differently.
Plus, we’ve eliminated unnecessary spreadsheets. There’s no need for any exports - you can run the entirety of your analysis within Mosaiq Insights.
Example: An analyst wants to see the performance of a subset of routes based on their destination
It’s useful to understand how a single destination might influence its associated routes - for example, the routes to the train station may be underperforming compared to the wider network. A change at one location could lead to substantial punctuality improvements across multiple journeys.
If you wanted to understand destination-specific performance before the global filter hub was released, you’d need to search for destination keywords and select each relevant route individually.
Once again, this process is made easier by the global filter hub. You can search for destination-specific keywords within “Operators/Services” in the filter hub, and bulk select all routes heading to that destination within an operator. In other words, you don’t need to select the routes within an operator individually.
These improvements are part of our ongoing commitment to making Mosaiq Insights the leading transit intelligence platform. We’re excited to see how they simplify and accelerate your workflows, so you can act faster and keep on delivering better experiences for your passengers.
